Ann Coles, Senior Vice-President, College Access Programs, The Education Resource Institute (TERI)
Ann Coles (B.A. Brown University/M.A. Boston University/PhD Harvard University Graduate School of Education) has overseen TERI’s college access programs since 1985, when she established the Higher Education Information Center at the Boston Public Library. Under her leadership, TERI’s college access programs have grown to include TRIO and GEAR UP programs, as well as regional and national collaborations aimed at improving policies and practices to enable much larger numbers of underserved students to successfully pursue college goals. During this time she also served as executive director of the Boston Higher Education Partnership and the Pathways to College Network. Ann has over thirty-five years experience working to ensure access to post-secondary education for lower income students and under-represented minorities of all ages.
Ann is a member of the board of the Boston Plan for Excellence in the Public Schools and the advisory councils of Scholarship America and the Center for State Scholars.
