David B. Swedlow, Director of Programs, National College Access Network (NCAN)

David Swedlow joined NCAN in 2002 as the Director of Programs. David directs projects to expand college access initiatives nationwide through collaborative facilitation among educational, civic, business and foundation stakeholders in cities and states throughout the United States. He also provides expertise in data management, evaluation and research. Dr. Swedlow has worked with many college access programs, resource centers and the newly developed statewide networks in the areas of management information, longitudinal student tracking and gap analysis. He previously directed information systems for the Cleveland Municipal School District and the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, and served on the faculty of Case Western Reserve University. Swedlow received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in physics and biomaterials from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
