Lyn Tait, Partner, Tait & Pirquet Consulting Services Ltd., Victoria, British Columbia
Lyn Tait (B.A. Honours/M.A. Political Science) has had a 25-year career in public administration in British Columbia and Alberta, mainly in intergovernmental relations, advanced educational planning and economic development.
She has served as Deputy Minister of B.C. Intergovernmental Relations and B.C. Small Business and Tourism, as well as Deputy of Career Development and Employment in Alberta. She has a strong policy and strategic planning background, and extensive experience in dealing with diverse stakeholder groups on sensitive and high-profile issues.
Lyn has consulted with the OECD, with the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada and with the Canadian Council on Learning, as well with a number of federal government departments and private foundations. She was the Chair of the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation’s 2004 Cross-Canada Consultations on the Future of the Millennium Bursary Program.
Areas of input: strategies for engaging diverse stakeholder groups in the conference’s policy forum; working group input to education policy and planning recommendations for Canadian policy-makers and educational institutions.
