Lynne Bezanson, Executive Director, Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF)
Lynne Bezanson (B.A. English & Psychology, Carleton University/ M.Ed., Counselling Psychology, University of Ottawa) is a respected leader in the field of career development. With over 30 years of experience, she is a dynamic counsellor educator, author, researcher, and adult trainer. Lynne holds a Specialist Certificate in Guidance & Counselling from the Ontario Ministry of Education (1971) and was certified as a Career Development Facilitator Master Trainer at Oakland University in 1996. She also has a Certificate in Gestalt Therapy from the Gestalt Institute of New England.
Lynne has directed numerous national initiatives, demonstrated leadership in advancing career development practice, managed innovative research and development projects, and fostered collaborative partnerships.. She has initiated and managed two highly successful International Symposia on Connecting Career Development with Public Policy as well as the first pan-Canadian Symposium on Career Development, Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development. Lynne also participated in the OECD Thematic Review of Guidance Policies, co-authoring the federal Canadian response, and was a member of the OECD Study Team for Australia and Norway. These international symposia contributed to the OECD Review of Guidance Policies, expanded to the European Commission and the World Bank and conducted in 37 countries. These initiatives directly influenced the establishment of the International Centre for Career Development and Public Policy (ICCDPP) housed in Brussels. Lynne currently coordinates the work of the Canadian Research Working Group for Evidence Based Practice in Career Development, a coalition of researchers from six Francophone and Anglophone universities.
