Penny Milton, Chief Executive Officer, Canadian Education Association

Penny Milton was appointed to lead the Secretariat of the Canadian Education Association in 1996. She has served as an elected school board trustee and chair, held staff positions in a teacher’s union, a provincial school board association and served on numerous provincial and federal advisory committees. She served a term as deputy minister of the Ontario Premier’s Council on Health, Well-being and Social Justice. She is a director of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation. Ms. Milton has written and presented widely on many aspects of education as social policy. She holds a Master’s in management from McGill University and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in botany from the University of Nottingham, UK.
