Sylvia Terpstra, holding a Bachelors of Mathematics Degree and a Masters of Business Administration, has been the Director of Education of the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board in Ontario since December 2004. A collaborative and innovative leader, Director Terpstra is committed to the improvement of student achievement results, the renewal of secondary education linked to lifelong learning, and partnering with organizations and communities to support the success for all students throughout the Board. Throughout her career, one thread has been continuously evident: the inclusion of community consultation in decisions that affect their schools.
